so i'm a gemini (sun) and my partner is a sagittarius and we just hit 3 years together, which honestly shocked some of my friends bc everyone warns you these two signs are "too much" together lol

but i think that's exactly why it works for us. we're both mutable signs so neither of us needs the other to sit still. he wants to go backpacking with basically no plan and i'm the one googling weird little museums and pop-up events along the way. we just feed off each other's need for movement instead of competing over it

the thing that surprised me most is the communication. everyone says gemini + sag talk too much and never listen, but for us it's the opposite - we're both blunt, we both ask a million questions, and neither of us takes it personally when the other says something a little too honest. i used to date people who needed everything softened and it was exhausting. with him i can just say the thing

we did have to work on follow-through early on bc we'd both get excited about plans and then neither of us would actually book anything lol. we started keeping a shared notes app just for "ideas we actually want to do" vs random chatter, and that alone fixed like 80% of our flakiness as a couple

anyway just wanted to share bc this pairing gets a lot of "chaotic, won't last" energy online and i don't think that's the whole story
