ok so my best friend is a cancer and I'm a gemini and I love her to death but sometimes I genuinely don't understand her lol
like I'll say something totally offhand and she'll bring it up two weeks later like it majorly hurt her feelings?? meanwhile I've already forgotten I even said it
and then when I want to just talk through stuff logically she gets all quiet and needs space instead, which as a gemini who processes by TALKING makes me kind of insane
but also she's literally the most loyal person in my life and always shows up when it matters. so is this just how air + water friendships go or are we doing something wrong lol
omg the remembering-everything-you-said thing is SO cancer coded lol. my cancer friend has a mental filing cabinet for every conversation we've ever had
as a fellow gemini with a cancer bestie... yeah the needing space thing used to drive me up the wall too. I had to learn that her going quiet isn't her shutting me out, it's just how she processes before she can actually talk
air and water friendships take work but they're worth it imo. my gemini friend brings so much lightness to my cancer tendency to spiral and I think I help her actually sit with her feelings instead of talking around them
ok I actually told her the talking-through-it-fast thing is just how I process and asked her to just tell me when she needs quiet time instead of going cold on me. she said that actually helps a lot lol. feel like we're getting better at translating each other
