so I did a reading about whether to say yes to a social opportunity (got invited to join a group project with some people I don't know super well)
the spread was past / present / outcome and I pulled:
I went from cups upright (which I took as me feeling withdrawn and uninterested) to cups reversed in the outcome?? does that mean I'll snap out of it and engage? or that the reversal makes it even more disconnected somehow?
I'm new to reading reversals so honestly very confused here
ooh this is a really interesting spread! the shift from four of cups upright to reversed in the outcome is so meaningful
upright 4 of cups is like being stuck in your head, bored, not seeing what's in front of you. reversed usually means you're coming OUT of that - suddenly open, re-engaged, ready to say yes to things
so the outcome is actually pretty positive I think! like the reading is saying this opportunity will shake you out of your current stuck feeling
The cards are whispering something wonderful here!
Four of Cups upright in the present says your energy is a bit turned inward right now - maybe you've been saying no to things, feeling disconnected. But reversed in the outcome? That's the breakthrough card. It speaks to a reawakening.
This group project might be exactly the thing that pulls you back into the flow. Trust your inner knowing - if you felt drawn to do the reading, part of you already wants to say yes.
four of cups reversed as an outcome is genuinely one of my favorite cards to pull in that position lol
basically yes it means you'll come out of whatever funk you're in and actually engage with life. go say yes to the project imo
omg okay thank you all!! I said yes to the project and I already feel better just having done that lol. the energy shift was literally immediate
found this thread looking for exactly this interpretation and it helped so much
I pulled four of cups reversed in a similar position for a question about whether to reach out to an old friend after a falling out. felt weird about it but went ahead and messaged her. we ended up having a really good conversation and cleared a lot of old stuff up
I think reversed 4 of cups really is about snapping out of avoidance mode. glad it worked out for you too!
okay so I found this thread like a year after you all talked about this but
I literally just pulled four of cups reversed in the outcome position for the same type of question (should I say yes to something I've been putting off) and came here to research it and now I feel so much better about it lol
going to say yes. thanks jen_1992 and everyone for leaving this thread up, it helped
