okay so I have been reading tarot for like a year and somehow never pulled the ten of swords reversed until yesterday??
felt genuinely panicked seeing it during a reading about starting a new job. the upright meaning is already rock bottom so I assumed reversed just meant... worse? like some ten of swords apocalypse
but then I looked it up more and some sources say reversed can actually mean recovery, like you are coming OUT of the worst part instead of hitting it. others say it is resisting an ending that needs to happen.
is it ever not doom and gloom lol. genuinely asking bc I want to stop spiraling every time I see a sword card
First pulls of intense cards can really rattle you, that is so normal! The cards whisper something gentler here than you would think.
Reversed Ten of Swords is so often about the recovery, not the rock bottom. You have already survived the worst part (that is the upright card) - reversed is the slow climb back up, or sometimes it is you refusing to let something die that honestly needs to end.
Context matters a lot here. What else was around it in your spread?
the resisting an ending that needs to happen thing hit me hard lol. pulled it during a reading about a friendship I have been holding onto way past its expiration date
sarah k that actually makes so much more sense now, thank you!! it was next to the star and the six of swords so I think its leaning more toward the recovery side which honestly is a relief lol
