hey everyone! so I've been reading tarot for myself for maybe 6 months now and I finally pulled the moon reversed for the first time today.
I've always gotten it upright before which was confusing enough lol but now reversed?? everything I'm reading online says stuff like "deception revealed" or "release of fear" which seem like opposites??
I asked about whether I should trust my gut on a decision I've been going back and forth on. now I'm even more unsure haha
is reversed moon always a negative card or can it actually be a good thing? would love to hear how you all interpret it
honestly reversed moon can actually be really positive! it often means clarity is coming - like the fog is lifting and you're finally seeing things clearly
for your question about trusting your gut, I'd read it as encouragement that your intuition is becoming more reliable, not less
omg I had the same confusion when I first got it reversed!!
the way I see it now: upright moon = things are hidden from you. reversed moon = those hidden things are coming to light
so actually kinda a relief? like the uncertainty is ending
what deck are you using? I find the imagery really changes how I read moon reversed. in some decks it feels scary, in others it looks almost peaceful
thank you all!! this makes so much more sense. I'm using the rider waite and yeah those dogs always look so anxious lol
I think I was reading too many doom and gloom websites. the clarity interpretation really resonates with where I'm at rn
not to be dramatic but reversed moon is actually one of my favorite cards to pull now lol
it used to freak me out too but I started thinking of it like... when you wake up from a weird dream and you're relieved it wasn't real? that's reversed moon energy
trust your gut on that decision btw. sounds like you already know what you want to do
late to this thread but wanted to share bc I had the exact same question when I first got it
for me reversed moon ended up meaning like... the fog was lifting? I pulled it when I was going back and forth on ending a friendship that felt weird and it was basically the cards telling me I already knew the answer, I was just avoiding it
so yeah for your gut feeling question - I'd say reversed moon is often a nudge to trust what you already know deep down
update for anyone who finds this thread later: I ended up making the decision I was waffling on and honestly? the clarity thing was spot on
I was so caught up in "what ifs" that I couldn't see the situation clearly. once I stopped spiraling and just... looked at it directly, the answer was obvious the whole time lol
still think the moon reversed gets a bad rap. sometimes you just need a nudge to trust yourself
