okay so today was my first time ever pulling the eight of cups reversed and I genuinely wasn't sure what to do with it lol
i was asking about whether to finally quit this hobby i've kind of fallen out of love with (aerial silks lol, random i know) and got 8 of cups reversed in the advice spot
like every article i found says upright is about walking away from something that isn't serving you anymore, but reversed feels like the opposite?? staying stuck out of fear, or leaving too soon before you've actually processed anything
is it always a "don't quit yet" card reversed or does it depend a lot on the question
kind of confused ngl but also weirdly not stressed about it, just curious how you all read it
omg following this bc i just got the same card last week in a career reading. I read it as "you're allowed to stay a little longer if you're not done processing" not necessarily don't quit forever
Oh I love sitting with this one! Reversed Eight of Cups often isn't telling you to stay forever - it's asking whether you're leaving toward something or just running from discomfort.
With aerial silks specifically... is there unfinished emotional business there? Sometimes reversed shows up to say 'process first, decide after.' Trust your inner knowing on the timing.
the running from discomfort vs moving toward something distinction is so good, definitely taking that with me
update: decided to take a two week break instead of quitting completely and honestly that felt like the right call. it's not calling to me like it used to but i don't feel done yet either, so glad i didn't just drop it out of frustration
