for the longest time I read judgement reversed as just 'you're being too hard on yourself' bc that's what every book and app said
but last week I actually sat with it during a reading about a decision I'd been avoiding for almost a year (leaving a job that wasn't working) and it clicked different
for me it wasn't self judgment at all, it was more like... avoiding a decision I already knew the answer to and dressing it up as 'still thinking it over'
once I saw it that way I stopped waiting for some big sign and just made the call. still scary but so much lighter now that it's done
anyone else have a card where the personal meaning ended up being totally different from what the books say once you actually sat with it
Oh I love when a card finally speaks its true language to you instead of the textbook one!
Judgement reversed so often gets flattened into 'harsh self-critic' when really its core is about the moment right before a reckoning - when you already know the verdict but haven't let yourself act on it yet. What you named, dressing avoidance up as deliberation, is exactly that shadow.
Trust your inner knowing on this one. The cards whisper louder the longer we ignore what we already understand.
wait this is exactly what happened with me and the hanged man?? I always read it as 'be patient' but for me it's actually 'stop pretending patience is the same as fear of choosing'
glad you finally made the job move, that's huge
how long did you sit with the card before it clicked like that? I feel like I always just look up the meaning and move on instead of actually thinking about it lol
honestly it took actually journaling about it instead of just glancing at the app definition. usually i'm way too lazy for that lol but this one felt important enough to slow down for. worth it though, i feel like i actually trust my own reads more now instead of just parroting the book meaning
