pulled the 8 of cups reversed like 3 times over the past couple months, always around the same question (should i leave my job)
kept reading it as "you are stuck and afraid to leave" and just felt kind of bad about it every time tbh
but i actually stayed, worked through the boring parts of the job i was avoiding, and ended up getting moved to a completely different team that i actually like now
so for me reversed 8 of cups wasnt "youre trapped," it was more like "the grass isnt greener, fix what you can where you are first." anyone else read it that way or am i just retrofitting meaning onto it lol
This is such a beautiful read on it, honestly. The cards whisper different things depending on what you are ready to hear.
Reversed 8 of Cups can absolutely mean returning to unfinished business instead of running from it. Upright is the walk away. Reversed often asks: have you actually tried to fix what is here, or are you just tired?
Sounds like you did the harder, braver thing.
wait this is actually really helpful, I have been getting this card nonstop about a friendship and just assumed it meant I was avoiding cutting someone off
not retrofitting at all, I think that is genuinely one of the more common readings for it. glad it worked out with the job
