okay I think I FINALLY understand what ten of swords reversed meant when it showed up for me a while back
at the time I pulled it during a really rough patch - lost a job I actually liked, felt like everything was falling apart at once. got the ten of swords reversed and honestly just felt confused?? like isn't that supposed to be a good thing, an ending followed by recovery??
looking back now I get it. it wasn't telling me the bad stuff was over yet, it was telling me I was already starting to rebuild even though it didn't feel like it. like the worst of it had already happened and I was in the getting-back-up part, not the falling part
anyway I ended up taking a slower job search than I wanted and it led me somewhere way better than what I lost. wish past me could've trusted the card a little more lol
In all my years reading this card, reversed Ten of Swords is one people misread the most. Upright, it's often the crisis itself - the moment of total collapse. Reversed doesn't undo that collapse, it shows the slow climb out of it. You were exactly where the card said you were: past the worst of it, even if your circumstances hadn't caught up yet.
Trust that the cards describe an inner process before the outer world reflects it. It sounds like yours did, eventually.
omg I had almost the same reading during a breakup a while back. felt so confusing at first but you're so right that it's more about the getting up part than anything bad still happening
this is really validating, I got this card recently and have just been sitting with it feeling unsure. gonna stop waiting for the other shoe to drop lol
