ok so I've been offered a job in another city and I'm going back and forth on it so bad. did a reading last night about whether to take it and got the eight of swords reversed as the outcome card
I know upright 8 of swords is like... feeling trapped, no way out, self-imposed limits. but reversed?? does that mean the trapped feeling is finally lifting or does it mean I'm about to trap myself even more by taking this leap
kind of freaking out lol. has anyone gotten this card reversed around a big decision like this

Eight of Swords reversed almost always signals the restrictive thinking finally loosening - you're starting to see options you couldn't see before. it doesn't usually mean a NEW trap, it means the blindfold is coming off

omg I got this exact card when I was deciding whether to leave my old job. for me it meant I was finally done believing the lie that I had no other options
following this bc I need to take a leap too lol. the way you explained the upright meaning makes so much sense with reversed being the opposite
update: I took the job!! honestly just naming the 'self-imposed trap' thing made it so much easier to see i'd been the one holding myself back this whole time. scary but feels like the right move. thank you for helping me think it through
