pulled a card this morning before a second round interview for a job i've been really nervous about and got the eight of cups reversed
from what i've read it can mean like... staying somewhere out of fear instead of leaving, or the opposite, walking away from something before it's actually done growing
problem is i cant tell if its about the interview itself (like maybe i should just let this one go) or about my current job that i've been kind of unhappy at for a while now
anyone pulled this reversed in a career context before? how do you tell which direction its pointing
Oh this is such a layered card in that position. When the Eight of Cups shows up reversed before something like an interview, I read it less as a directional arrow and more as a question the cards are handing back to you.
Ask yourself honestly: is staying at your current job fear dressed up as loyalty? Or would leaving right now actually be running from something you haven't finished learning there?
The reversed energy usually means you already know the answer but haven't let yourself say it out loud yet. Trust your inner knowing on this one.
ok this is wild bc i got the same card reversed right before i quit a job that was making me miserable. for me it was 100% about staying too long out of fear
update: interview went really well actually?? but honestly this thread helped me realize the card wasn't really about the interview at all, it was about how long ive been telling myself im "fine" at my current job. gonna actually sit with that for a bit before deciding anything
