eight of cups reversed about a job i've been debating leaving

so I pulled the eight of cups reversed today asking about whether to leave my current job or stick it out a little longer.

i always thought 8 of cups was about walking away from something that isn't serving you anymore, so seeing it reversed threw me off?? like is it telling me NOT to leave, or that i'm leaving for the wrong reasons, or something else entirely

for context i've been unhappy there for a while but i also know part of me just wants an easy exit instead of dealing with stuff head on

anyone pulled this one for a similar decision? how did you read it

ooh i've gotten this one for career stuff too. for me reversed usually meant i was staying stuck out of fear, not that leaving was wrong. but it really depends on what feels true when you sit with it

i've always read 8 of cups reversed as fear of the unknown holding you back from a move you already know you want to make. doesn't mean don't go, more like check what's actually stopping you

update: i did pull a clarifier after - got the star upright which felt like a relief honestly. talked to my manager about some of what's been bothering me instead of just planning my exit in my head, and it actually opened up a conversation i didn't expect. not 100% decided yet but i feel a lot less like i'm running away from something and more like i'm actually choosing
