asked what I should do about a decision I keep going back and forth on and pulled the nine of swords reversed in the advice spot
like ok upright is anxiety and 3am spiraling, I get that part. but reversed as ADVICE? is it telling me to stop spiraling? face the thing I'm avoiding? something else entirely
every source I read says something different lol. some say it means the worst has passed, some say it means quit ruminating and take action already
anyone actually gotten this as advice before and figured out what to do with it
omg I feel this. I always freeze up when I get a swords card as advice bc it feels like a warning even when it's not
The cards whisper relief here, not more worry.
Nine of swords reversed as advice is often the deck telling you the spiral itself is the problem, not the situation you're spiraling about. Upright, you're drowning in 3am thoughts. Reversed, you're being nudged to get out of your own head and look at the actual facts in daylight.
Practically: write down what you're actually afraid will happen, then write down what's actually true right now. The gap between those two lists is usually where the anxiety is living, not in the decision itself.
Trust your inner knowing - you already sense which one is bigger.
this happened to me with a work decision and honestly writing out the worst case vs the likely case was such a good exercise, stealing this for myself again
ok update: did the two lists thing and yeah, the fear list was way longer than the realistic list lol. made the decision and already feel less stuck about it, thanks everyone
