did a 3 card pull about whether to stick with my current job or finally try to freelance and the advice card was the hierophant reversed??
like... i get upright hierophant is tradition, following the rules, doing things the conventional way. so reversed as ADVICE feels like its telling me to break from convention? go rogue? but that also feels like a huge leap for one little card lol
how do you read this position specifically. is it saying dont just follow the standard path or is it more nuanced than that
The cards whisper something specific here, love - hierophant reversed in the advice position isn't telling you to burn everything conventional down. It's asking you to question WHOSE rules you're following. Are they yours, or ones you inherited because they felt safe?
Sometimes the advice is simply: define success on your own terms before you decide what path actually serves that. Trust your inner knowing on what fits your life, not what looks right on paper.
omg this happened to me with a career reading too. i took it as permission to stop asking everyone else what i should do lol. ended up making the call myself and honestly it feels right so far
update - talked to an actual mentor about it (not just the internet lol) and think im leaning towards testing freelance on the side before jumping fully. this thread helped me see it as more nuanced than a straight yes/no
