asked what I should do about switching jobs and pulled the hermit reversed as my advice card lol
like isnt hermit supposed to mean go inward, take time alone to figure stuff out? but reversed... does that mean STOP isolating and actually talk to people about it? or ignore the isolation instinct completely?
ive been kind of avoiding this decision by overthinking alone in my room for weeks so idk if the reversal is calling that out or telling me something totally different
anyone read hermit reversed as advice before, how do you interpret it
Oh this is such a good one to sit with! The cards whisper something specific here.
Hermit reversed as advice often isn't telling you to abandon reflection - it's telling you the reflection has turned into avoidance. There's a difference between going inward to gain clarity and going inward to hide from a decision.
Trust your inner knowing: has the alone time actually been helping you get clearer, or has it just been circling the same thoughts? If it's the second one, the card is nudging you to bring in outside perspective - a mentor, a friend, even just saying the decision out loud to someone.
omg this happened to me with a money decision. hermit reversed basically called out that i was using "needing space to think" as an excuse to not deal with it lol
following this bc I got the same card last week for something completely different. the isolation vs avoidance thing makes a lot of sense actually
update: talked to my manager and a couple friends about it instead of just stewing on my own. still havent fully decided but i feel so much less stuck now, definitely needed that push
