ok so I asked about a situation at work where I've been kind of avoiding a coworker conflict and the advice card came up as seven of swords REVERSED
I know upright seven of swords is all about deception and sneaking around so I'm guessing reversed is like... the opposite? come clean? stop avoiding? but I'm not 100% sure
does the advice position change how you'd read it? like is the universe telling me to just confront this head on or am I reading too much into it lol
Yes, lovely! The cards whisper exactly what you're sensing here.
Seven of Swords reversed as advice is such a beautiful nudge toward honesty and course correction. Upright, it's that sneaky avoidance energy - tiptoeing around things, keeping cards close to your chest. Reversed in the advice position? It's asking you to turn around and face what you've been sidestepping.
In your situation specifically - that avoiding energy you mentioned? The card is literally pointing you back toward the conversation you've been postponing. It doesn't mean a dramatic confrontation, just... coming clean with yourself first, then opening the dialogue.
Trust your inner knowing on this. You already felt what it meant. ✨
this is exactly how i read it too! reversed swords cards always feel like they're undoing the 'harmful' energy of the upright version
so yeah if upright is sneaky/deceptive, reversed is like... stop the sneakiness lol
omg I pulled this exact card as advice last year before a really hard conversation with a friend. I was so nervous but it genuinely helped to think of it as "stop dancing around it" energy
the conversation went way better than I expected btw!! good luck
update: I finally talked to my coworker and honestly it was so much less awkward than I thought it would be?? we figured out we were both just misreading each other's communication styles
thanks everyone, the card was definitely right lol
