asked what I should focus on in a tricky work conversation coming up and pulled king of cups reversed as the advice card
from what i've read upright king of cups is like emotional balance, staying calm and steady for others. so reversed... is it telling me not to bottle things up? or that i need to actually show more emotion instead of playing it cool?
kind of stuck between two totally different readings on this one lol. anyone dealt with this specific card as advice before?
Oh I love sitting with this one. The cards whisper something really specific here - King of Cups reversed as advice is usually less about which face to put on and more about honesty with yourself first.
Upright, he's mastered his emotions. Reversed is a gentle nudge that you might be managing everyone else's feelings in that conversation before you've checked in with your own. Ask yourself what you actually need to say, not just what will keep the peace.
Trust your inner knowing here - the calm you're aiming for should include you too.
omg i got this exact combo before a really hard talk with my mom and it ended up meaning i needed to stop swallowing what i actually felt. once i said the real thing the conversation actually went so much better
this is helpful, i always assumed reversed cups just meant "emotional mess" but the self honesty angle makes way more sense
