so I did a reading about whether to reach out to someone I've been out of touch with for a while. like a friend I had a falling out with
the advice card was the high priestess... reversed??
I've been sitting with this for a few days and I honestly can't figure out what it's telling me. like is it saying don't trust my gut? or that I'm ignoring something obvious? or that the timing is off?
I feel like I have too many interpretations and none of them are clicking. anyone else get this card reversed as advice and figure out what it meant for them?
Oh this is such a rich card to get as advice, even reversed!
The High Priestess reversed in the advice position often points to something you already know deep down but are talking yourself out of. The reversal is like the card saying: your inner knowing is there, but something is blocking it from coming through clearly.
Ask yourself - when you first thought about reaching out, what was your VERY first instinct? Before you started analyzing? That flash of knowing is what she's pointing to.
The noise around the decision (fears, doubts, 'what ifs') can drown out the quieter truth. The card isn't necessarily saying don't do it - it's saying get quiet first and listen to what you actually feel, not what you think you should feel.
I had this exact thing happen with a decision about a job offer!! reversed high priestess as advice was so confusing at first
for me it ended up meaning I was blocking my own intuition bc I was too focused on what other people would think. once I stopped worrying about that and just asked myself what I actually wanted, things got clearer
wait this thread is so helpful. I always assumed reversed cards in the advice position were like... warnings to NOT do the thing? but that interpretation makes way more sense
ok Sarah K that question about my first instinct actually hit really hard. I think I have been overanalyzing this to the point where I've lost track of what I actually feel
going to try journaling on it tonight. thank you all
