ok so I asked my deck what I should do about this ongoing tension with my coworkers (long story, basically competing for the same project lead role) and pulled the five of wands reversed as the advice card
I've been reading about it and I'm getting mixed messages?? some sources say it means step back from the conflict, let it go. others say it means resolve the underlying issues before they get worse
like those feel like completely opposite things lol
do I avoid the drama or do I address it head on? the card isn't giving me clarity, just more confusion
ugh I hate when advice cards make you MORE confused 😭 but honestly five of wands reversed in advice position is usually about choosing your battles wisely. like not every fight is worth having ya know?
What a rich card to draw in the advice position!
The cards whisper something interesting here - Five of Wands reversed as advice often speaks to how you engage, not whether you engage. The conflict itself isn't going away, but your role in feeding it can shift.
Ask yourself: are you approaching this situation with ego (wanting to WIN) or with genuine intention (wanting the best outcome for the project)? The reversed energy suggests the fighting spirit needs to be turned inward - toward clarity about your own values and goals - rather than outward into the competition.
Trust your inner knowing. What would it look like to compete from a place of groundedness rather than reactivity?
wait Sarah K this is actually so helpful for something I've been going through too. the ego vs intention framing really hit different
ok I sat with this for a couple days and I think I get it now. I had a calm one-on-one with my manager about the project and just laid out my actual goals instead of positioning against my coworker. feels way better than the tension before. thanks everyone!!
