so I asked the cards for advice on a situation at work where I feel really stuck - like I genuinely cannot see a way forward and it's been months
and I pulled the eight of swords reversed as advice and I'm... confused?
like upright eight of swords is the blindfolded person who can't see they're free to walk away right? so reversed would mean... the blindfold is off? but I still feel totally stuck so I don't understand how that's advice
does it mean I already have the freedom to move and just don't see it? or is it saying stop limiting myself mentally? idk the reversal as an advice card is throwing me off
I had this exact card as advice for a job situation once! for me it was basically telling me the cage I thought I was in wasn't as locked as I believed. turned out I had way more options than I was letting myself see
Oh the Eight of Swords reversed as advice is such a powerful pull - the cards are really speaking directly to you here.
In the advice position, the Eight of Swords reversed is saying: the limitations you're experiencing right now are largely mental constructs, not physical realities. The blindfold is coming off. You CAN see more than you think you can.
Ask yourself honestly - are you stuck because the situation is truly unmovable, or because you've accepted a story that it's unmovable? Are there options you've dismissed as "impossible" without really testing them?
The reversed card in advice position is your inner knowing nudging you: take off the blindfold. Make one small move. Often just that one action breaks the whole pattern open.
Trust your inner knowing on this one. It called you here for a reason.
ok the "story you've accepted" thing hit different. I literally said to myself 3 weeks ago "there's nothing I can do about this" and kind of... stopped trying. maybe that's the blindfold
following this thread because I always struggle with reversals as advice too. Sarah K's explanation is really helpful for any reversal in that position honestly
