asked for advice on whether to keep grinding on this certification course I've been putting off finishing, and got the eight of pentacles reversed
upright I get - keep practicing, put in the work, mastery takes time. but reversed as ADVICE specifically is throwing me off
is it telling me to stop half-assing it and actually focus? or is it saying the effort isn't worth it anymore and I should quit?? those feel like opposite instructions lol
how do you all read this one when it shows up as advice
omg I got this exact card as advice a few months ago for a work project. for me it ended up meaning I was spreading myself too thin - doing the work but not with real focus, just going through the motions
following this bc I need to know too. I always default to 'quit' with reversed cards which is probably wrong lol
honestly i think it depends on how the question felt when you asked it? like if part of you already knows you've been phoning it in, its probably the focus/discipline message. if you're genuinely burnt out on something that isn't serving you anymore thats different
update: sat with this for a couple days and I think it's the 'stop half-assing it' read for me. I've been technically working on the course but barely opening the material. going to actually block out real time this week instead of pretending
