ok so I've had a really rough week emotionally. pulled a past/present/advice spread and got:
past: five of wands (yep, conflict and chaos) present: four of cups (stuck and a bit numb tbh) advice: ace of cups
and I'm like... what does that even mean?? the advice is "open your heart" but to WHAT exactly? I'm already overwhelmed and I don't know if that means I need to feel everything or let something new in or what
has anyone gotten the ace of cups in the advice position and figured out what it was pointing to?
The Ace of Cups as advice is one of my favorites - the cards are whispering something really gentle here.
Given your past (Five of Wands = chaos) and present (Four of Cups = withdrawal), the advice isn't "open up to everything at once." It's more like: be receptive. Don't close off entirely.
The Ace of Cups is a new emotional beginning - but beginnings are quiet. It might just mean: let yourself feel something small that's good. A moment of connection, a meal you enjoy, something that makes you feel like yourself again.
Trust your inner knowing on what that small thing might be for you.
omg I've gotten ace of cups in the advice spot twice and it threw me both times
first time I thought it meant I needed to find a new relationship lol. second time I realized it was just saying... stop being so guarded rn. like you're allowed to feel good things even when things are hard
the five of wands → four of cups → ace of cups progression makes a lot of sense actually
like the story is: chaos happened, you went numb (makes sense), and now the advice is to gently start feeling again. not force anything just... don't stay in the four of cups forever
update - I went for a really long walk and let myself think about stuff I'd been avoiding. cried a little, felt better
I think the ace of cups was literally just telling me to stop numbing out and actually feel it. the processing was the advice lol
thank you everyone, this thread helped so much
