ok so I've been seeing this scorpio guy for about 3 months and honestly idk how to describe it other than... intense??
like I'm an aries so I'm used to just saying what I think and moving on. he holds onto EVERYTHING. I'll forget we even had a disagreement and he's still quietly processing it a week later lol
but also when it's good it's SO good. the connection is really deep and I feel like he actually sees me in a way other people don't
anyone else dating a scorpio as an aries? how do you handle the communication differences??
This dynamic makes so much sense when you look at the traditional rulerships. Both Aries and Scorpio are ruled by Mars - Aries gets the bold, direct side of Mars energy, while Scorpio expresses the strategic, depth-seeking side.
So you're both driven by the same planet but expressing it completely differently. Aries leads with action and fire, Scorpio leads with intensity and water. Two expressions of the same force that don't always speak the same language.
The communication gap you're noticing? Classic fixed vs cardinal clash. You process externally and move on, he processes internally and holds the record. Neither is wrong - just very different styles.
What actually tends to work for these pairs is learning to slow down a little (for Aries) while Scorpio practices saying what they're thinking instead of sitting on it. The connection potential is genuinely strong when the translation gap gets bridged.
omg yes I was with a scorpio for almost two years. the intensity is real. I never felt so seen AND so exhausted at the same time lol
the thing that helped us most was me learning to give him space to process instead of demanding immediate resolution. aries brain wants to fight it out NOW and move on but that just doesn't work for them

omg reading this bc it's the reverse for me, I'm a scorpio dating an aries lol. the communication thing is so real from this side too.
what actually helped us was a "24 hour rule" - if something's bugging me I have to say something within a day instead of stewing on it for two weeks. took forever to get there but it's made a huge difference
update from the cap/aries side lol... I tried just straight up asking "are you upset with me" instead of quietly spiraling and guessing, and it worked SO much better than I expected.
still working on not overanalyzing every one word text but babysteps
