ok so I've been seeing this scorpio guy for like 4 months now and I genuinely cannot tell if this is the best or worst idea I've ever had lol
like one minute it's so intense and magnetic and I feel completely seen for the first time ever. and then the next minute he goes totally silent for 2 days and I'm sitting here like... did I do something?? should I text?? do I give him space??
honestly as a taurus I am NOT built for this kind of emotional rollercoaster. I like knowing where I stand. I like consistency. I like not wondering if my person is secretly plotting my downfall lmao
but also... I can't stop thinking about him. which is also very not like me
are taurus + scorpio really supposed to be opposites? like in astrology terms? because that actually tracks. he's everything I'm not and it's equal parts fascinating and exhausting
anyone else dated a scorpio as a taurus (or the reverse)? how did you navigate it
omg YES. I'm a scorpio and I dated a taurus for almost two years and the push-pull thing is SO real
the silence isn't him pulling away - it's just how scorpios process. we go internal when stuff is intense. which ironically happens most when we really like someone??
the taurus stability was honestly what I needed even when I fought against it
What you're experiencing is textbook taurus-scorpio opposition energy - and oppositions in astrology are actually incredibly powerful connections, not incompatible ones.
You're on the same axis (taurus/scorpio is the 2nd/8th house axis - values, resources, deep transformation). You share the same intensity and loyalty, just expressed very differently. Taurus builds security through the physical and tangible. Scorpio builds security through emotional depth and trust.
The silent periods you're noticing are likely him processing feelings he doesn't fully have words for yet. Scorpios typically don't go quiet out of disinterest - they go quiet when something matters to them.
The key dynamic to work with: Taurus needs consistent reassurance, Scorpio needs to feel they won't be judged for their depth. If you can communicate those needs directly, this pairing tends to become incredibly solid over time.
I'm a taurus and my partner is a scorpio, we've been together 3 years now. the beginning was exactly what you described - magnetic but also confusing
honestly the thing that helped most was just... telling him directly that I need words not silence. he didn't even realize how much the quiet was affecting me. once we talked about it, everything got easier
taurus + scorpio is a slow build but when it clicks it really clicks
ok this thread is giving me so much to think about, thank you all
@MarcusAstro the 2nd/8th house thing is genuinely blowing my mind a little. I never knew oppositions could work like that
I did actually talk to him last night and it went really well - turns out he was dealing with some personal stuff and hadn't realized how distant he'd been. feels good to know it wasn't about me
maybe I can do this whole opposite-sign thing after all lol
