ok so there's this capricorn guy at work and I am GONE for him. like completely. problem is everyone keeps telling me aries + capricorn is a disaster waiting to happen lol
he's so calm and put together and I'm just... not. I move fast, I get excited about everything, and he takes like 3 weeks to respond to a simple question (ok slight exaggeration but you get it)
we've been talking more lately and I feel like there's something there but I don't want to crash and burn. anyone have experience with this combo? worth pursuing?
omg I was in this exact situation a few years back! the slow pace is SO real. my capricorn took forever to open up but once he did it was like... completely worth it
just be patient (i know, torture for an aries lol) and let him come to you a little
Looking at this combination, Aries and Capricorn are actually what we call a square aspect in astrology - 90 degrees apart in the zodiac. Squares create tension, but that tension isn't automatically bad.
What it usually means: you'll challenge each other in ways that feel uncomfortable but lead to real growth. Aries brings fire and momentum that Capricorn sometimes needs. Capricorn brings groundedness and long-term thinking that Aries often lacks.
The real question is less about sun signs and more about whether he's a Capricorn who has done some self-work. The mature version of Capricorn energy is incredible - steady, loyal, ambitious. The immature version can be cold and withholding.
You seem self-aware about your Aries tendencies which is already a good sign. Go for it, just don't rush him.
the square aspect comment makes so much sense!! I'm a leo dating a scorpio (also a square) and it's the most intense but also most transformative relationship I've ever been in
don't let the "incompatible" label scare you off
ok this is all really helpful, thank you!! I think I've been so focused on what could go wrong that I wasn't even giving it a real chance
and MarcusAstro - the point about maturity is interesting. he does seem like someone who's pretty grounded and intentional about things. maybe that's exactly what I need lol
