ok I'm so tired of the "virgos are so critical and judgmental" thing
like yes I notice details. yes I have opinions. but I'm not out here tearing people apart??
I feel like this stereotype comes from people who just don't like honest feedback. like if I tell my friend her plan has a flaw, I'm not being mean - I'm literally trying to help her not fail
anyone else get this? or am I actually the problem lol
honestly same!! I'm a virgo and my friends always joke about it but I genuinely think I'm one of the most loyal supportive people they have
like yes I will tell you if your resume has a typo. that's love??
This is such a common misread of Virgo energy. Looking at the actual archetype: Virgo is Mercury-ruled, which means it's fundamentally about communication and discernment - not judgment.
The "critical" label usually comes from context. Virgo notices flaws because it's wired to improve things. In a society that mistakes polish for perfection, that instinct gets pathologized.
The real question is: are you offering your observations with care for the other person, or just to be right? Most Virgos I've seen in charts are the former. The ones who lean harsh usually have Saturn or Mars making hard aspects to their Mercury.
ok wait the saturn/mars to mercury thing is actually making me want to check my chart now lol
I have a virgo friend who is honestly the most gentle person I know but she will absolutely clock your bullshit immediately. I've never experienced it as harsh though, more like... she sees clearly
"she sees clearly" is such a good way to put it. I'm stealing that lol
and yeah I think that's the thing - it's HOW you deliver it. I try really hard to make sure people know I'm on their side when I say something. it sounds like most of us are actually doing that
