ok so I'm a pisces sun and I'm so tired of people acting like I'm made of glass lol
like yes I feel things deeply, that's true. but I've met way more emotionally unavailable people of other signs than sensitive pisces?? not trying to bash anyone just saying
anyone else feel like the "pisces = crybaby" thing is overblown? or do you actually relate to it?
curious what other pisces AND non-pisces think here bc I feel like it says more about people's assumptions than about us
fellow pisces here and SAME. I've been called "too sensitive" my whole life like it's a flaw??
but honestly I think that sensitivity is what makes us good friends, creative, empathetic. I'd rather feel too much than nothing at all tbh
as an aries I'll be honest, I used to make fun of pisces for being sensitive lol. but then my best friend (pisces) helped me through a really hard time and she was the strongest person in the room. I think I had it totally wrong
Great question and honestly the stereotype oversimplifies something really nuanced astrologically.
Pisces rules the 12th house - the house of the unconscious, hidden depths, and collective emotion. This placement means Pisces natives are literally wired to pick up on emotional undercurrents that others miss entirely. It's not weakness, it's a different kind of perception.
What people call "sensitivity" is more accurately described as emotional permeability. The challenge isn't the feeling deeply - it's learning to discern which emotions are yours vs. what you're absorbing from the environment around you. That's actually advanced spiritual work.
The signs that seem "tougher" often just have more barriers up. That's not the same as actually processing less.
the emotional permeability thing MarcusAstro said is SO real. my pisces partner picks up on my moods before I even realize I'm in one. it used to freak me out but now I see it as a gift
the stereotype definitely has some truth but it misses the strength part completely
