my boss is a leo and I'm a capricorn and something about our dynamic is just... a lot sometimes
like she wants big energy in meetings, wants credit acknowledged out loud, wants the whole team to feel hyped about wins. meanwhile I just want to quietly get the work done and let the results speak for themselves
weirdly though we actually respect each other a ton? like once I started actually telling her when something went well (out loud, not just in a report) things got so much smoother between us
any other capricorns working under a leo? how do you make it work
This is a really common Leo-Capricorn work dynamic and honestly one of the more productive fire-earth pairings once the initial friction settles.
Leo is ruled by the Sun, so recognition isn't vanity to them, it's how they know their effort actually landed. Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, so you're wired to trust structure and results over verbal praise.
The fact that saying things out loud helped so much makes total sense - you gave her Sun-ruled need for visibility a place to land, and she probably started trusting your Saturn-ruled reliability more in return. Keep doing that, it's a small adjustment that goes a long way with this pairing.
lmao the 'quietly competing for who's in charge' thing is way too real. my old capricorn manager was like this with our leo team lead. eventually he realized giving her the spotlight in meetings meant she gave him way more autonomy behind the scenes
following this bc I'm the leo boss in this scenario lol. my capricorn coworker used to seem cold to me until i realized she just shows care differently. now I actively ask her opinion in meetings instead of waiting for her to volunteer it and it's helped a lot
yellowcat honestly hearing that from the leo side is so helpful lol. gonna try speaking up more in meetings instead of just doing my thing quietly and hoping it gets noticed
