ok so I did a 3-card reading about whether I should go ahead with a new creative project I've been sitting on for months. past, present, advice.
the advice card was ace of wands reversed and I'm genuinely confused lol
like... is it saying don't start? or start but go slower? I've seen people say reversed cards in advice position mean the energy is blocked or that you need to look inward first but those feel like totally different things
I've been procrastinating on this project already and now the cards are also like... idk, pausing? it feels frustrating. does anyone have a good way to read reversals in advice positions?
ugh this is so relatable. I got a reversed ace of pentacles as advice once and I spiraled trying to figure out if it meant stop or just be careful
honestly I eventually landed on: it's not a no, it's a "not yet the way you're planning to"
Oh the advice position with a reversal is such a rich thing to sit with!
Ace of Wands reversed as advice isn't saying "don't do this" - it's asking you to look at what's blocking the spark. Is it fear? Perfectionism? Waiting for conditions to be perfect before you begin?
The cards whisper: the fire is there, it just needs clearing. What would you do if you weren't waiting to feel "ready"? That's your real advice.
Trust your inner knowing on this one - you already know the answer.
wait this is so helpful!! I always just read reversals as "bad version of the card" but reading them as blocked energy makes way more sense for advice positions
ok sarah K that actually unlocked something for me. the perfectionism thing hit really close to home lol
I think I've been waiting until I have everything figured out before I even start. maybe the advice really is just... begin anyway and let it be messy
