did a 3 card spread (past/present/outcome) about a job thing im waiting on and got the 8 of wands reversed in the outcome spot
from what ive read its supposed to mean delays, things stalling out, miscommunication?? which is like. not what you want to see when youre already waiting on news lol
is this one of those cards where reversed in a future position just means "be patient" or is it actually warning me something is gonna fall through. trying not to spiral but also trying to be realistic lol

This is such a common worry and I get why! In a future/outcome position, reversed 8 of wands is almost always about PACE, not failure. The energy that usually moves fast is getting held up somewhere - a delay, a scheduling snag, someone dragging their feet on their end.
It rarely means the thing won't happen. It usually means it won't happen on the timeline you're hoping for. The advice buried in this card is to stop refreshing your inbox and let the process breathe a little.
omg i got this exact card for a visa application that was taking forever. ended up coming through like 3 weeks later than expected but it did come through
following this bc i always assume reversed = bad and then feel dumb later when it wasnt that deep
the miscommunication angle is real too imo, might be worth just checking in with whoever you're waiting on instead of assuming the worst
